File name: credit_roles.tsv
This file contains the authors’ CrediT roles identified by searching the string "credit" in the <role> tag’s attribute keys and values. Each row in the file contains CrediT information for an author.
Column descriptions:
- pmcid: PMCID of the article.
- pmid: PMID of the article. If the article does not have a PMID, the value is NONE.
- author_name_position: The order of the author. This is derived from the order of the <contrib> tags in an article’s XML file. In JATS, a <contrib> tag is generally used for tagging an author.
- author_name_type: The value can be “name” or “collab”. “Name” denotes that the value in the author_name column is supposed to be a person’s name. “Collab” denotes that the value in the author_name column is likely to be a group of contributors. - author_name: The name of an author or the name of a group of contributors.
- credit_roles: CrediT roles identified from the article’s XML file. The roles are separated by vertical bars.
 
File name: author_contribution_section.tsv
This file contains text from sections that have “author” and “contrib” in the section titles or text from author notes that have XML attribute keys as “fn-type” and attribute values as “con”. 
Column descriptions:
- pmcid: PMCID of the article.
- pmid: PMID of the article. If the article does not have a PMID, the value is NONE.
- identified_by: The value can be “author_and_contrib_in_sec_title” or “fn-type=con”. “Author_and_contrib_in_sec_title” denotes the text is from a section that has “author” and “contrib” in the section title. “Fn-type=con” denotes the text is from an author note that has an XML attribute where the attribute key is “fn-type” and the attribute value is "con." - author_contribution: The text identified by the two approaches addressed above.
 
File name: contributor_section.tsv
This file contains text from sections where the section titles are either “contributor” or "contributors".
Column description:
- pmcid: PMCID of the article.
- pmid: PMID of the article. If the article does not have a PMID, the value is NONE.
- contribution_text: The text in a section where the section title is either “contributor” or "contributors".
 
File name: ack_tag.tsv
This file contains text that was wrapped by <ack> tags in the XML file.
Column descriptions:
- pmcid: PMCID of the article.
- pmid: PMID of the article. If the article does not have a PMID, the value is NONE.
- acknowledgements: The text wrapped by <ack> tags in the XML file.
